Easter Egg Dye

Supplies:

1/4 tsp. food color
3/4 cup hot water
1 tbsp. white vinegar
Hard boiled eggs

How to:

Measure liquids into bowl or cup and mix with spoon. Leave a separate spoon with each color to help limit mixing colors among bowls. Lower eggs into each color mixture. The longer they stay, the deeper the color.

Tips:

If the eggs are to be eaten as well as used to decorate baskets or in an egg hunt, a few safety precautions should be observed. Keep eggs in refrigerator as much as possible between cooking, decorating and an egg hurt. Hard-cooked eggs should not be left at room temperature more than 3 or 4 hours before being eaten or put in refrigerator. Cracked eggs should be used the same day.
